Hall of Fame dinner, induction set for Oct. 15

GALION — The Galion City Schools district will have its Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 15, as part of the 2016 Connections Weekend 2016. The dinner and ceremony are at Galion Middle School, beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the evening cost $35, and can be ordered by completing and mailing in a dinner order form, or by calling and making a reservation with Mrs. Kuehlman at 419-468-3432. All reservations and completed dinner forms should be mailed to Galion Board of Education, 470 Portland Way North, Galion, OH 44833 by Friday, Oct. 7.

Checks can be made payable to the Galion Community Foundation prior to, or the evening of, the dinner.

Hall of Fame inductees for this year include Gayle Dull, Class of 1903; William R. Durtschi, Class of 1940; Kevin D. Arnold, Class of 1975; Scott E. Palmer, Class of 1981; Ricky L. Jobe, Class of 1982; and Jim Wegesin, educator.

The dinner will be catered by Avita Health System and served by Galion Middle School students.

This year’s menu offers a choice of either chicken or beef dinners. Guests requiring special meal arrangements should make their needs known when reserving tickets for the evening’s festivities.

Proceeds from the weekend’s activities will go toward funding for a future auditorium on the Galion City Schools district campus. Dinner order forms can be found under the Connections Weekend page at www.galionschools.org.
