GALION – HomeCare Matters Home Health and Hospice will host a five-week Healing Journey series, beginning Thursday, Sept. 8 at 6:00 p.m. The series is free to the public and will be held at HomeCare Matters in Galion, 1220 N. Market St., every Thursday evening through October 6.

The Healing Journey program is a series of courses designed for adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one, and to help them understand grief and the healing process. By focusing on the misconceptions of grief, stages of grief, warning signs of depression and strategies to move forward, those who complete the Healing Journey program will better understand their feelings and move closer to a resolution.

Many participants become friends with others in the program who are experiencing similar emotions and may benefit from a support group that can help them throughout their journey. Participants are encouraged to attend all five sessions
