TEEN PROGRAM — Roswell That Ends Well: A Dinner Mystery will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 6. Join us for an after-hours beach-party mystery featuring an alien invasion. Luau or alien costumes are encouraged. For ages 12 to 18. Preregistration is required: call or visit the library to sign up.

TEEN ANIME CLUB — Join us for anime, manga, cosplay, and Japanese culture from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 9. Note that we are switching to Tuesdays starting in January. Teens in grades 6 to 12 do not need to register for the anime club: you can just show up.

TEEN GAMES CLUB — The chess club has become a games club and will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 18. We will still have chess available, but we also now invite others to join in and play other board games and card games. Bring your own game or play one of ours. New members in grades 6 to 12 are invited to join at any time. Refreshments are provided. You do not need to register for the games club: you can just show up.

FAMILY MOVIE DAY — Join us and watch a movie on our big screen at 2 p.m. on Aug. 20.

BINGO FOR BOOKS — From 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 16, the Galion Public Library will host its popular “Bingo for Books” in the community room for people 18 and over.

There will be chances to win free copies of fiction and non-fiction books. Refreshments will be provided.

This event is free, but registration is required since space is limited. Call the library at 419-468-3203 or stop by the main desk to sign-up. Contact Tanesha Pickering, Publicity and Adult Programming Coordinator, at 419-468-3203 for more information.

Bucyrus Public Library

LINCOLN BY-WAY SALE — The Friends of the Bucyrus Public Library will hold a Lincoln By-Way Sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 11, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 12 and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Books and Treasures will be on sale in the lower level of the library. This sale features a large number of children’s books and cookbooks are specially priced for this sale.

The sale is open to public all three days and Thursday is Friends Day. All proceeds from the sale will help fund the 2017 Summer Reading Program and other library programs.
