Kristopher Shope Williams and Billy Kent were selected as the May 2016 and June 2016 Student of the Month, respectively. The positive character trait for May at GHS was “cooperation,” while the positive character trait for June was “perseverance.”
Williams is currently a member of the Tigers track team. He plans to continue his education towards finding employment in the culinary arts after high school.
“Being named Student of the Month is an honor,” Williams said. “It motivates me to keep working hard and making good choices.”
Kent is a member of the Tigers football and wrestling squads. His plans include attending college and continuing his athletic career at the collegiate level.
“I appreciate being selected as the June Student of the Month,” Kent said. “It shows that I work hard and I never quit.”
“Kristopher and Billy represent well the positive traits for which they’re being recognized,” High School Principal Ron Williams said. “Both are very deserving of this honor and I am excited to see how they continue to grow during their career at GHS.”
