GALION – A Galion man will spend the next decade in prison after pleading guilty to numerous child-porn related charges in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday.

Marcus Williams, 36, pleaded guilty to 24 counts of pandering sexually-oriented materials involving minors. Several charges, including disseminating materials harmful to juveniles and importuning, were dismissed as part of Williams’ plea agreement with prosecutors.

Williams was convicted of similar charges in Jackson County in 2008.

Williams was arrested last June after a raid of his East Church Street residence by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) and the FBI Task Force.

Upon his release from prison, Williams must register as a Tier II sex offender with the sheriff’s office in the county in which he resides every 180 days for the next 25 years. He will also be placed on five years of mandatory post-release control.
