Rail crossing in Crawford County will be upgraded

COLUMBUS – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has approved construction authorization from the Ohio Rail Development Commission to install mast-mounted flashing lights and roadway gates at crossings in Crawford and Morrow counties.

Norfolk Southern Railway will upgrade the crossing at Quaintance Road and Township Road 81 in Liberty Township, Crawford County.

CSX Transportation will upgrade the crossing at Keiffer Road and Township Road 32, in Washington Township, Morrow County.

The projects are to be completed by March 29, 2017. Federal funding for these projects is provided through the ORDC.
