Year-to-year auto sales for Crawford County increased, while sales declined for Morrow County in April.

In Crawford County, there were 233 new and used vehicles sold last month compared with 229 in April 2015, according to data collected by AutoView Online, but provided to the Galion Inquirer by Donley Ford of Galion. AutoView, based in Phoenix, provides new and used registration data each month to help dealerships monitor their performance and the competition’s in the market.

In Crawford, there 182 used vehicles sold, while there were 51 new vehicles sold in April. Donley Ford, Craig Smith Auto Group and Matthews Chevrolet Bucyrus were the top three new and used dealers for the county. Donley Ford sold 53 new and used vehicles in April, while Craig Smith sold 51 and Matthews Chevrolet sold 48 in April.

The top new and used models in Crawford were the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with 22 vehicles sold, the Ford F-150 (18) and the Ford Escape (18) and the Chevrolet Equinox (13).

In Morrow County, there were 26 new and used vehicles sold in April compared with 38 in April 2015. Mowery Motors in Edison was the top dealership last month selling eight vehicles, followed by Larrys Body Shop Route 314 Car Sales in Mt. Gilead (7) and Hill Equipment in Marengo (5).

The top new and used models for Morrow County were the Ford F-150 (17), the Chevrolet Silverado (14) and the Ram Ram Pickup 1500 (11).
