Crestline Public Library

A Million Steps

The Crestline Public Library presents “A Million Steps” Program in an effort to get people to get up and get active. The program requires walking ten miles a week for five weeks. Sign up at the library and receive a free pedometer to count steps and miles and a free walking log. Prizes will be given to those who take a million steps this summer.

The Crestline Public Library will be offering exciting summer programs for people of all ages.

“On Your Mark, Get Set, Read” is the program for kids ages 10 and under. The kids will meet every Tuesday at 10 am, beginning June 14 and ending Aug. 9.

June 14-“Take a Tromp Through the Swamp” presented by Tom Sieling

June 21-“Focus on the 50’s”- Sock hop, Hula Hoops, Jump Ropes and more

June 28-“Field Day” Outdoor activities

July 5-NO PROGRAMS

July 12- “Sportstacular”-movie and craft

July 19- “Wheelies Parade”-Decorate your bike, wagon, stroller, and bring it to the library for a parade.

July 26- “Circus in Motion”-juggling, walk the tight wire, and other activities

Aug. 2- “Out of the Ordinary: Book Walk”-meet at Lowe Volk Park between 10 am and noon and experience the fun of nature.

Aug. 9- “A Park Adventure”-meet at Hamilton Park at 10 am. This is the last of the kid’s summer programs!

June 23, 6 pm- Get in the Game, come and play library bingo for teens and adults

June 27, 7 pm- Food Safety presented by FCS teacher Kris Bruce

June 29, 6:30 pm-Cooking with Herbs presented by Mike Hocker

June 30, 6 pm-Movie Night-come watch “Walk in the Woods”, free popcorn Rated “R”

July 11, 6:30- “Healthy Meals” presented by county extension agent Becky Guinther

July 12, 6:30 pm-Zentangle, this is a meditative form of art

July 13, 5:30 pm- “Hands Only CPR” American Red Cross

July 14, 6:30 pm- Life Hacks, creative ways to make life simpler

July 18, 6:30 pm- Adult/ Teen Dance-get your “groove” on

Aug. 4, 6:00 pm-Green Cleaning presented by Pat Hargis, retired chemistry teacher at CHS

Aug. 9, 5:30 pm-Relaxation Yoga with Deb McDaniel

Aug. 11, 6:30 pm- Chair Exercises

Teens ages 11-18 are to “Get in the Game” this summer at the Crestline Public Library! The teen program begins June 14 and ends August 13. Programs include:

June 14- 10 am, “Take a Tromp through the Swamp” presented by Tom Sieling

June 23- 6 pm, “Get in the Game”: Library Bingo

July 12- 6:30 pm, “Zentangle Art”- meditative art therapy

July 14- 6 pm, “Games on the Big Screen”-movie and a snack

July 18- 6:30 pm, “Dance Party”-music with DJ Justin Carroll

July 28-6 pm, “Summer Olympics Scavenger Hunt”

Aug. 9-5:30 pm, “Yoga”-learn to do yoga

Aug. 13- 1 pm, Pool Party at Mrs. Swihart’s house. Participants must have attended two other teen summer programs to get permission slip for pool party.

Read books and fill out reading forms for bi-weekly drawings.
