Chili supper will benefit Haiti

NORTH ROBINON — Dinner is served 4-7 p.m. on Dec. 3 in the Hannah and William Crawford School cafetorium. The dinner is sponsored by St. Paul Lutheran Church, North Robinson and Colonel Crawford Lions Club. There will be a freewill donation that will be sent to the people of Haiti through Lutheran World Relief to help them recover from Hurricane Matthew and previous disasters. Sandwiches and desserts also will be served.

CHRISTMAS WORKSHOP — First United Methodist Church of Crestline, The Red Door Church, 202 N. Thoman St., will host a Christmas Workshop on Sunday, Dec. 4, 4-6 p.m. This is a make-it-and-take-it opportunity to create some Christmas crafts. Crafters will be on hand to share their talents to help make Christmas projects. Kids will also have craft opportunities and cookie frosting fun. Soup, salad and sandwiches will be served and all of the crafting and eating will be for a donation of your choice.

YOUNG AT HEART ANNUAL COOKIE WALK AND LUNCHEON — Galion Baptist Church, 5670 Ohio 19, will have its Cookie Walk and Luncheon from 11 a.m-2 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Family Life Center of the church. All proceeds go to the ministries of the church.

HEALING SERVICE — The Crestline United Methodist Church offers a monthly Healing Service, the second Sunday of the month.. The next one is Dec. 11 at 5 p.m. Anyone seeking healing, wholeness and health in their relationships, emotions, spiritual life, or body is welcome to attend this service. The service is an opportunity to be strengthened and refreshed by Christ’s healing presence!

FREE COMMUNITY MEAL — Trinity Lutheran Church, 291 N. Union St., Galion will serve a free community meal Dec. 15 from 5:-6 p.m.

FORMER OSU BAND DIRECTOR AT PRAYER BREAKFAST— Jonathan Waters, former marching band director at The Ohio State University Marching will be featured speaker at an interdenominational men’s prayer breakfast 7 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 in the cafeteria at Bucyrus Community Hospital. This prayer breakfast is open to all men and woman and is being hosted by Woodlawn United Methodist Church. For information, call Bill Denton at 419 562-1118.

PERFORMANCE BY THE TALLEYS — On Saturday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m., Gospel artist’s The Talleys, from Morristown, Tenn., will appear at First Lutheran Church in Shelby. This return performance to Shelby is part of the Talleys’ Christmas Tour. This concert is free and open to the public. A love offering will be collected for the Talleys’ ministry.
