RUMMAGE SALE/BAKE SALE — Blooming Grove United Methodist Church, 9665 County Road 20, will have its annual event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Lunch is available and includes sandwich and chips. Carryout is available. There will be lots of fresh baked goods.

CELEBRATION TO HONOR VETERANS — Calvary Baptist Church, 1616 Marion Road, Bucyrus is having a program to honor veterans at 10 a.m. Nov. 6. A color guard will be present and all veterans will receive a gift. A freewill offering will be received. There is no admission charge for the program.

MEN’S PRAYER BREAKFAST — Morris (Moe) Hill, a staff lieutenant and post commander for the Ohio Highway Patrol will be the guest speaker at a prayer breakfast at 7 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Bucyrus Hospital cafeteria. The program is sponsored by Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Bucyrus. Call 419-562-1776 for information.

REHEARSALS FOR HANDEL’S “MESSIAH” — All choral singers are invited to join the Galion Community Chorus for its 62nd annual performance of Handel’s “Messiah.” Rehearsals will be Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at Galion Church of Christ, next to Wendy’s, beginning Oct. 31. A dress rehearsal is scheduled Dec. 3, prior to the Dec. 4 performance. Student voices are welcome. Be a part of this Galion tradition. ELECTION DAY LUNCHEON — Eat-in, pick-up or have your lunch delivered from the Bucyrus United Methodist Church annual Election Day Luncheon Nov. 8. Serving hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at BUMC’s Outreach Center, 216 Hopley Ave., in Bucyrus. The menu includes ham and bean soup, beef vegetable soup, chicken sandwiches, sloppy joe sandwiches, corn muffins, jello salads, pies and cakes. Cost is by suggested prices or donations. Delivery is available by calling 419-562-5061 anytime up to 1:30 p.m. the day of the luncheon. The Outreach Center is handicapped accessible. For information, call the church office at 419-562-5061.

FALL FESTIVAL — Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline will have its Fall Festival Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be all kinds of craft items, baked goods, home-made noodles and canned foods for sale. Lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes soup, sandwiches, Waldorf salad and pies. A Swiss steak dinner is 4:30-6:30 p.m. and includes mashed potatoes, corn, rolls, salad and pie for $9.

COUNTRY HOLIDAY BAZAAR — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will have its Country Holiday Bazaar on Nov. 12 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Breakfast will be available from 9-10:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The bazaar will include homemade baked goods Early Attic, handmade crafts, candy, baskets, OSU gifts, jewelry and lots more. Freezer fare includes soups and apple dumplings.

ST PAUL UMC FOOD PANTRY — St. Paul United Methodist Church, 746 Cherry St., Galion, will open its Food pantry Nov. 19th from 9-11:00 a.m. It is open the third Saturday of each month. This is for Galion residents only. Please bring a photo ID and proof of residency (phone, utility bill etc.)
