Merle Teetrick turns 90 this month

GALION — Merle Teetrick will celebrate his 90th birthday July 18.

He was born in Galion, Ohio on July 18, 1926 to Calvin and Gladys Teetrick, who is deceased. He has a brother, Wayne, and a sister, Donalene, who is deceased.

On Aug. 27, 1949, he married Violet Love. She passed away Jan. 26, 1994.

He was employed for 25 years at North Electric in Galion, and worked at Elliott Machine Works in Galion, Baja Boats and part-time at the former Sohio Gas Station in Galion.

He is the father of six: Angie and LeRoy Hoffman of Leesville; Dawn and Bill Kelm of Tuscon, Ariz; Tom and Betty Teetrick of Lake Galion; Jerry and Charlotte Teetrick of Mansfield; Tim and Dawn Teetrick of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and Candy and Brian Baird of Delta, Ohio

He is the grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 14 and great great grandfather of one.

A celebration will be Sunday, July 10, from 2-3 p.m. at Galion Pointe Nursing Home, 925 Wagner Ave., Galion.
