How can you cut 20 billion from a 80 million budget. It is not possible.

While I understand the formation of a group of landowners to get the best advantage to an lease agreement; they should absolutely do their own research on fracking and the process. The article stated that they use water — which they do and a lot of it — but there are also potentially harmful chemicals that are in the water. Ask where their holding area’s will be for this toxic mix? Pennsylvania has been sending their toxic waste to Ohio for some time. I suggest reading all the articles that you can google — pro and con. Yeah… Downtown Columbus and Crosswoods. There is that stretch of track that runs under Campus View just past the Crosswoods area, isn’t there? And there’s plenty of space to develop up there. And a stop up in Delaware, too.

There has been an organized effort by the local power structures in many protest cities to end the demonstrations before spring. If the cold weather didn’t stop the protesters, the cops sure won’t.
There are legitimate issues, folks have the right to protest and there will probably be serious violence before the protests end. Power to the people!

Charlie’s Market was good for Galion and will be missed. Too bad our city administrators won’t do anything to help small business.…never has. Hopefully our next national election will change the direction of this country and our city officials will realize that people in Galion can vote them out too.
They seem to want to grow the government, kill more business in the private sector and do as little as possible to make it any better.

Ya know, this is a horrible story to read. I realize that teenagers are immature and do stupid things but they say people who start off with killing animals “just because”, turn into monsters. It won’t be animals in the future if someone doesn’t help this kid now.. It’ll end up being humans. It sickens me to know my siblings go to school with this kid. They know right from wrong but when they see these things, they question their safety. He needs to be charged and do some time. They need to appoint a counsiler to help this kid out. How sad. I am very glad to see this baby is doing well, though! She’s pretty and I hope a nice family is able to take her home and give her a nice life.

Glad to hear that Horizon this time had what was needed to save this cat.

We lost our cat due to them not having the items needed.

As to the one that shot this cat with the arrow, yes he needs counseling.

Arrow Eve is fortunate to have been found and helped. I’ve seen this before and it is difficult and painful for an animal to move with an arrow sticking out both sides of its neck. I am pleased to read the youth ‘came forward’ and is taking responsibility for bad choices that led to the cruel act. Hopefully this deters future bad choices from him as well as others.
The story written by Galion Inquirer reporter, Sarah Einselen, was refreshing, thank you. Not often enough do we hear of the good side of a bad deed. Thanks to all of you that pulled together to make this story have a happy ending.

Like Sandy, my husband and I are grieving over the loss of a beloved pet of sixteen years. To witness these little lives being treated as worthy only of target practice is sickening. However, it’s commendable that the perpetrator came forward on his own. It would be nice if he received counseling.

Thank God the shooter did the right thing and came forward. People that hurt helpless animals and those don’t care for those they own should be forced to watch as a loving animal owner goes through losing a beloved pet. I’m still grieving for the shepherd-huskie mix dog I lost to cancer on November 27th and can’t fathom a human being so cruel. Thank you Inquirer for such a detailed article.

We are lucky enough to have a K-mart about 25 minutes away. We did alot of lay-away there because they do not limit you to only 3 areas of the stores as Wal-mart did.

I loved this article! It really captured the joyous and caring spirit of community theater. Natalie Lance’s easy to-read, down-to-earth writing made me want to go out and sign up to do something (anything) just to be part of such an upbeat group. More importantly, Ms. Lance did not browbeat us with the terms that snobbish critics use. Instead she captured the real people who make this kind of endeavor work. I note Natalie is now working on a play of her own–I look forward to reading it or seeing it produced, particularly since she will have seen all aspects of a theatrical production.

That would have been a 37 yard FG attempt. On a windy night it’s just not do-able. Wynford is a great team with alot of seniors and alot of big heavy weight players. And we went toe to toe with them. They had home field advantage, and that was the difference. I pray my boy will make varsity next year so he can play in this rivalry. There is nothing like HS football. Unlike NCAA and NFL, HS football is un-sullied and still pure sport.

Until Hawkins realizes the importance of a kickiing game, this wil continue to happen.

Inability to kick field goals cost us last year against Willard, and now this game at Wynford.

Homecoming queens are kicking them, and we can’t ?

What about my situation ? Because of the enactment of the AWA(July of 2007) my sex offender registration requirements were extended to almost 4 years past there expiration date (August, 2007). I was indicted by the Grand Jury(2008) for a Notice of Change of Address; Registration of Address and charged with a felony(2009) and given 5 years community control sanctions. Then the Ohio Supreme Court ruled in State v. Williams(July 2011) and ultimately my status was returned to it Megan’s Law level. Soon after this the Ohio Attorney Generals office sent a letter to me stating that my duty to register had expired in Ohio. So, technically I was a registered sex offender in 2008. But after the ruling in State v. Williams I was not. So how do I, and others in this predicament, have these charges against us removed?
