A new OhioHealth mobile mammography unit will make it easier and more convenient for women to get life-saving mammograms, bringing services to the workplace and close to home.

Alex Palou claimed his third straight victory in IndyCar Sunday afternoon at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, leading 48 of the Honda Indy 200’s 80 laps in the process. It was his first career win at Mid-Ohio after finishing second last year, third in 2021 and 12th and 23rd in a pair of 2020 races.

MARYSVILLE — The fourth tournament of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf season took place on June 26 at Blues Creek Golf Course. Galion’s Logan Keller won the 16-18 division with a score of 74. A couple of other Tigers placed well, too.

GALION — The Galion boys basketball team wrapped up their summer work for the month of June, which new head coach Tyler Sanders believes was a success.

COLUMBUS — Fourteen individuals will be enshrined in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Officials Hall of Fame and 20 individuals will be honored as the Official of the Year in their respective sport Saturday during the OHSAA Officials Hall of Fame induction banquet in Columbus at the Hilton Polaris.

CRESTLINE — With perhaps the best season in the area, Crestline’s Maddie Engler picked up first-team honors in Division IV’s Northwest District.

GALION — Colonel Crawford made it to a district final this season and the personal accolades showed why they were able to get there.

GALION — The Galion Tigers were well represented on the Division II All-District 9 teams with four making it.

GALION — Three area baseball players had terrific seasons that landed them on the All-Ohio lists.
