Harvest for Hunger kickoff event set

LORAIN – Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio will kick off its Harvest for Hunger Campaign with a happy hour event on Thursday, Feb. 22. This event will usher in Second Harvest’s major food and funds drive of the year, which officially starts on Friday, March 1, and runs through the end of May.

The Renaissance Theatre will host the second of its three Teddy Bear Concerts in the 2022-23 Mechanics Bank Education Series on Sunday, Feb. 18, at 2:30 p.m. The performance features an original script by Michael Thomas in an engaging adaptation of “Peter and the Wolf” that features audience participation and interactive storytelling performed by local actors and live musicians from the Mansfield Symphony.

Avita Health System has announced the opening of its new walk-in clinic and medical offices at 24 E. Whitney Ave. in Shelby. The facility officially opened on Feb. 1.

Preservation boosted by tax donations

Ohioans can support the beauty of the state’s natural world by simply checking a box on their tax return. Donations to Ohio’s Wildlife Diversity or State Nature Preserves funds are administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
