Letter to the Editor - Weiskopf

February 4, 2014

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the members of Galion High School’s 2014 Mock Trial team, the only team representing Crawford County, I wish to extend our appreciation to Grant Garverick for his voluntary expert guidance as legal adviser for the team, to the law offices of Hottenroth, Garverick, Tilson and Garverick for the use of their facilities, and to the Crawford County Bar Association for their financial support. It is through the collective efforts of Grant, these organizations, and the Galion City School District that the Mock Trial program continues to educate and benefit the students of Galion High School.

Congratulations to the team – Logan Amos, Jacob Bash, Jake Dretzka, Gillian Garverick, Sierra Johnson, Kearsten Kostelnik, Kaitlyn Register, Thomas Shawk, and Maddie Wildenthaler – for their fine performance at district competition in Mansfield; special recognition goes to Sierra Johnson for earning an outstanding attorney award and Jacob Bash for being acknowledged as an outstanding witness. The team represented Galion and Crawford County commendably.
