Galion Tiger Baseball

First, if you didn’t already know, youth baseball program in Galion is on the rise. Youth baseball enrollment keeps climbing each year, and the High school team went 21-7 last year, including wins over #1 State Ranked Ontario, which was their first league loss in years, and #4 ranked Bellevue. We finished the year State Ranked #18 and tied for the third most wins in program history. The youth all-star teams had great success, including a state finals appearance with the 9-10 year olds.

Galion is a baseball town; we have won more championships (22) than any other school sport to support my claim. We currently have one player in the major leagues (J.B. Shuck) and many others that have opportunities opened for them by way of baseball. We build this kind of success by focusing on the youth of our community.

Annually, we hold a youth baseball clinic/camp. This clinic is attended by over 80 children and we strive to make sure any child wanting to attend, can. Our program further holds a clinic for youth baseball coaches to assist in the proper direction and supervision of our youth. Our goal is to build on our success from last year and offer the clinic again on March 8th of 2014. We fully expect even more participation this year and hope you will consider sponsoring this worthwhile event.

This year’s focus is again the youth of our community. The clinic is for ages 6 to 12 and like last year, every participant will receive individual instruction, snacks, multiple chances to win prizes and a t-shirt (hopefully with your name as a sponsor on it.) We want to be able to make this opportunity affordable and ensure those that cannot afford it are also able to attend. We do this by utilizing sponsorships. Like last year, each contributor that gives $75 or more, will have their name/logo placed on the back of the t-shirt that every child will receive. We will further include your name/logo on the registration form as well as on a sponsor board in the lobby during the clinic.

Please note that we are a non-profit 501 3c organization (#51-0586229) which means your contribution could be tax deductible. Please contact me with any questions you may have. I want to thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter and hope that together we can build a championship program.

Thank you,

Phil Jackson
