The Crawford County Commissioners held an organizational meeting on Jan. 13. Commissioners Jenny Vermillion and Doug Weisenauer called the meeting to order; Commissioner Steve Reinhard was absent.
Weisenauer was elected president of the Board of Commissioners and Reinhard as vice president.
Regular session days for the commissioners will continue to be Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The following dates were approved as holiday for the county government: Jan. 20, Feb. 17, May 26, July 4, Sept. 14, Oct. 13, Nov. 11, Nov. 27, Nov. 28, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2015.
The commissioners also approved committee assignments.
Weisenauer will serve on: Board of Revision, Youth Services Grant Application, District Health Advisory Board, Investment Advisory Committee, Financial Report Review Committee, 911 Advisory Board, Crawford County Family & Children First Council, Erie Basin Resources Conservation & Development, Solid Waste Management Committee and District 16 Integrating Committee - OPWC (alternate).
Reinhard will serve on: Investment Advisory Committee (alternate), District 16 Integrating Committee - OPWC, Transportation Advisory Council, Tax Incentive Review Council, Economic Development Partnership, Solid Waste Management Committee and WIA County Review Committee.
Vermillion will serve on: Community Improvement Corporation, Data Processing Board, Solid Waste Management Committee (alternate), Galion Area Betterment Commission, Local Emergency Planning Committee, Homeland Security Advisory Board, Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission and Crawford County OSU Extension Advisory Committee.
All commissioners will serve on the EMA Advisory Board, Richland/Crawford WIA Board of Governors, CCAO Board of Directors and CCAO Health & Human Services.
