Avita Health System is announcing its new cardiology program, Avita Heart, to the local communities. Avita is collaborating with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center to provide quality cardiac care at Avita locations in Galion, Bucyrus, and Ontario. Four top-ranked, board-certified cardiologists have partnered with Avita’s team of providers and include Dr. Debbra DeBaets, Dr. Mary Beth Breckinridge, Dr. Lawrence Murcko, and Dr. Gangaram Rasa.

Debbra DeBaets, MD, attended Medical School at The Ohio State University in Columbus. She advanced her education with an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency, in addition to a Cardiology Fellowship, at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. DeBaets is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Mary Beth Breckenridge, MD, is also an alumnus of The Ohio State University, where she completed Medical School, an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency, and a Cardiology Fellowship. Dr. Breckinridge is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Adult Echocardiography.
Lawrence Murcko, MD, earned his Medical Degree from Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He then moved to Ohio to complete an Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He completed a Fellowship in Cardiology at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Murcko is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Gangaram Rasa, MD, completed Medical School at Gandhi Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He advanced his education at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, with an Internship, Residency, and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine. He then went on to complete a Cardiology Fellowship at both Coney Island Hospital and New York Cornell Hospital in New York City. Dr. Rasa is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
