Scenes from United Way’s Buckeye Bash

December 3, 2013

It was a cold day for the 2013 Buckeye Bash on Nov. 30, but that did not stop tailgaters from heading to the parking lot of Galion Community Hospital. There were several tents set up with food and TV’s to watch the Ohio State - Michigan game, Forty Buzzards Wine Club had wine samples to share and there was a live auction and 50/50 raffle for United Way of Crawford County. All funds raised that day went toward United Way’s general campaign, which funds more than 30 local programs. Executive Director Amber Wertman said United Way has raised about 52 percent of its $300,000 goal to date, and reminded the community that the campaign continues through February. The Bash was sponsored by Avita Health System, Galion Building & Loan Bank and Schilling Graphics. (Inquirer photos/Matt Echelberry)
