Holiday Fair opens this weekend

MANSFIELD—The 44th annual Holiday Fair opens this Sunday, November 24, at the Mansfield Art Center. Nathan Sawaya’s The Art of the Brick® is being held over in the main gallery and running concurrently with Holiday Fair through December 29. Hours for both are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 AM to 5 PM.


Holiday Fair will occupy the entire first floor of the art center, including the first floor gallery, gallery shop area and classroom space. Artisan made gifts including paintings, drawings, photographs, ceramics, art glass, prints, fiber wearables, and great gifts for children are being offered. Woodworkers present handcrafted pieces including bowls, peppermills, tables, benches and more. Jewelry designers have created hundreds of necklaces, earrings and imaginative accessories.


“While this year’s Holiday Fair is a condensed version, the number of participating artists , over 100, is the usual numbe,” said exhibition director Judy Francl. “ Visitors will see work by their favorite artists, as well as work by artists who have never participated before,” she added.


Admission to The Art of the Brick is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 16, and free for children under 5. Holiday Fair remains free as always. . The Art Center will be closed November 28, December 24 and December 25, as well as Mondays. The Art of the Brick and Holiday Fair both close on December 29.
