GHS, NHS grapplers triumph

Galion blasted Cory-Rawson 60–10 in the opening round of the OHSAA Division III Regional Team Tournament at Woodmore on Wednesday.
The Tigers will wrestle Woodmore at Upper Sandusky next Wednesday. If they win, they’ll take on the victor of the Upper Sandusky and Carey match.
Registering wins for the Orange-and-Blue against Cory-Rawson were:
Carson McIe, 113 pounds, 18–2 technical fall over Devin Meyer;
Justin Kleinknecht, 120, 11–1 major decision of Brandon Eck;
Zac Tupps, 126, 4–3 decision over Zach Smith;
Drake Barnett, 145, pin of Lance Butler at 2:00;
Mason Fry, 170, pin of Jacob Collins at :43;
and Zach Brown, 195, pin of Jacob Wineland at 1:36.
Tigers notching forfeit wins were: Austin Reyes, 106; Nick Flowers, 138; Deaken McCoy, 220; and Tristin Schroeder, 285.
There was a double forfeit at 152 pounds.
At Northmor, the Golden Knights scored a 57–11 victory over Frederick-town.

Sam Neer, 126, pinned Logan Jones at 3:51;
Mitchell Whisler, 132, pinned Matthew Griffin at 2:16;
Jamie Baldridge, 145, pinned Colten Lybarger at 1:21;

Cody Ross, 170; pinned Colton Foltz at 1:57;
and Lane Foster, 182, pinned Jacob Lloyd at :48.
Also, Griffin Jenkins, 113, had an 11–0 major decision of Cameron Snyder;
Jake Farley, 138, notched a 21–5 technical fall of Austin Palms;
to go along with forfeit wins for Tyler Beck, 195; and Adam Barnett, 220;
There were double forfeits at 160 and 285.
