Casino's hotel opening is 12:12 p.m. on 12-12-12

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A south­west­ern Michi­gan casino is bet­ting that 12–12-12 is going to be a lucky day for open­ing its new hotel.

A ribbon-cutting is planned for 12:12 p.m. Wednes­day for the eight-story, 242-room hotel at Fire­Keep­ers Casino near Bat­tle Creek.

The Not­tawaseppi (NOT’-uh-wuh-seh-pee) Huron Band of Potawatomi (pot-uh-WAH’-tuh-mee) Indi­ans owns the casino in Cal­houn County’s Emmett Township.

Fire­Keep­ers Casino opened in 2009. It began tak­ing reser­va­tions for the new hotel ear­lier this year.
