Two Highland staff put on administrative leave

Two Highland staff put on administrative leave

On Oct. 19, the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office received a report of possible sexual misconduct involving a student at Highland Elementary. Upon investigation, it appears that school staff members did not follow proper protocol of Ohio Revised Code 2151.421, Reporting Child Abuse or Neglect. As a result, two elementary school principals have been placed on administrative leave for not immediately notifying Children’s Services or law enforcement as the statute mandates. The investigation by Morrow County Sheriff’s Office detectives is complete and has been turned over to the Morrow County Prosecutor’s Office for legal review.
