On Oct. 4, employees from the Crawford County Soil and Water Conservation District spent the day at Galion Primary School. Julie Sand, education information coordinator, talked to students in grades pre-K through first grade about the importance of farm animals and what they are used for in a program called “Livestock Live.” With the help of Program Coordinator Mike Hall and Technician Don Fishpaw, she had a sheep, calf, goat, chicken and two piglets to show that day.
