Joseph A. Feyas
Joseph A. Feyas, 87, of Galion, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Mill Creek Nursing Center in Galion.
Born May 21, 1925 in Erie, Penn., he was the son of the late Joseph S. Feyas and Clara (Krasniewski) Feyas.
Joe served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II and was a Gunnery Sergeant and graduated from University of Pittsburgh, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business. He owned and operated his own business installing drapery rods and worked in the newspaper business in circulation and promotion.
Survivors include his longtime companion of 47 years, Ruby Pack with whom he made his home; two daughters, Viridian Lightheart of Truth or Consequences, N.M. and Debi Ritter of Maui, Hawaii; one son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Cara Feyas of Santa Fe, N.M.; two grandchildren, Sunshine (Chris) Weyer and Bleu Knight and a great-granddaughter, Dillan Jane.
Joe was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Mikoda and Leona Mack.
At Joe’s request no funeral services or visitation will be held. Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
