Joseph A. Feyas

Joseph A. Feyas, 87, of Galion, died Sun­day, Sept. 30, 2012 at Mill Creek Nurs­ing Cen­ter in Galion.

Born May 21, 1925 in Erie, Penn., he was the son of the late Joseph S. Feyas and Clara (Kras­niewski) Feyas.

Joe served with the United States Marine Corps dur­ing World War II and was a Gun­nery Sergeant and grad­u­ated from Uni­ver­sity of Pitts­burgh, where he received a bachelor’s degree in busi­ness. He owned and oper­ated his own busi­ness installing drap­ery rods and worked in the news­pa­per busi­ness in cir­cu­la­tion and promotion.

Sur­vivors include his long­time com­pan­ion of 47 years, Ruby Pack with whom he made his home; two daugh­ters, Virid­ian Light­heart of Truth or Con­se­quences, N.M. and Debi Rit­ter of Maui, Hawaii; one son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Cara Feyas of Santa Fe, N.M.; two grand­chil­dren, Sun­shine (Chris) Weyer and Bleu Knight and a great-granddaughter, Dil­lan Jane.

Joe was pre­ceded in death by two sis­ters, Audrey Mikoda and Leona Mack.

At Joe’s request no funeral ser­vices or vis­i­ta­tion will be held. Arrange­ments are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
