John F. Brutchey, I

John F. Brutchey I, 64, of Galion, passed away peace­fully Thurs­day, Octo­ber 11, 2012 at his home sur­rounded by his family.

John was born in Mar­ion on Sep­tem­ber 6, 1948 to the late Har­los V. Brutchey and F. Irene (Decker) Brutchey Watts. He mar­ried Louise I. Yost on June, 30, 1967 and she sur­vives him.

He was a 1966 grad­u­ate of Mar­ion Hard­ing High School. John retired from PGW in Crest­line in 2010. Along with his wife, he owned and oper­ated J & L Nurs­ery LLC. He attended the Bloom­ing Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fish­ing and hunt­ing, espe­cially rab­bit, pheas­ant and quail. John was very proud of and loved his family.

He is sur­vived by two sons John Brutchey II and Derek Brutchey, both of Galion; three grand­chil­dren: Cyn­thia Brutchey, Dereka Brutchey and Caleb Brutchey; two sis­ters Rebecca & Mike Mir­a­cle, Shelby and Janet & Bill Ulery, Lake­view; and numer­ous nieces and nephews.

He was pre­ceded in death by his infant daugh­ter Renee Louise Brutchey.

Friends may call Mon­day, Octo­ber 15, 2012 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Mark A. Schnei­der Funeral Home, Galion. Pri­vate funeral ser­vices will be held for the fam­ily. Bur­ial will be in Mans­field Memo­r­ial Park, Mansfield.
