“It Came from the Library”: Teen Read Week Activities at Galion Public Library October 15–20
During Teen Read Week 2012: “It Came from the Library”, Galion Public Library will be showing off what’s lurking in the library!
All week long, teens in grades 7–12 can stop by the Teen Area for special displays, book suggestions, contests and more! Plus, we’re having great programs for teens this week:
All Week long — SURVEY SAYS! — Let your voice be heard about library services to teens. Fill out our survey, and be entered in a drawing for prizes.
Monday, October 15, 6:30–8:00 pm: Monster Book Cafe: Get to know the latest books in the teen collection through Book Speed Dating, Banned Book Bingo, and video book trailers, while we create Monster cupcakes.
Wednesday, October 17, 6:30–8:15 pm Halloween Make-up Workshop: Learn make-up techniques for this year’s Halloween Costume. Local theater students will teach horror, glamor and fantasy make-up tricks that you can copy at home.
Saturday, October 20, 7-10pm Zombie Prom! It doesn’t take a lot of BRAINS to know that this is going to be a night of creepy fun! Dress up in your best formal zombie attire and join us for a night of dancing, refreshments, crafts, zombie apocalypse survival skills and more!
Registration is required for all Teen Read Week programs except the survey. For more information and to register, call the Galion Public Library at 419–468-3203.
