Fatal Accident on SR 309

A North­mor bus dri­ver was killed in a tragic car/pedestrian acci­dent on State Route 309 in Canaan Twp. shortly after 5 p.m. Mon­day, Oct. 29.

The acci­dent occurred in the 1800 block of SR 309 between CR 28 and TR 64. The Ohio State Patrol, the Mor­row County Sheriff’s Office, Iberia Fire Depart­ment and Mt. Gilead Fired Depart­ment responded to the scene. Mor­row County EMS trans­ported the vic­tim to Galion Com­mu­nity Hos­pi­tal, where he was pro­nounced dead. The dri­ver of the car was uninjured.

   I knew. This mans grand­daugh­ter and its a very sad thing to have hap­pened too a good man. Teens need to be more respon­si­ble for what they r doing when they r behind the wheel. They should not have there cells on them in the car. So he will be sadly missed.

     You are cor­rect this is a very sad thing that hap­pened and I feel for the mans fam­ily and their loss. Be care­ful how­ever about get­ting your facts before you post some­thing. This was not a teen nor was there a cell phone or any other devise in use. This was an acci­dent that every­one feels ter­ri­ble happened.
