Franklin P. Ticen

Franklin P. Ticen, 72, of Mt. Gilead, and for­merly of Star City, Ind. died Wednes­day, Sept. 26, 2012 at Grant Med­ical Cen­ter in Columbus.

Born Sept. 8, 1940 in Tip­ton, Ind., he was the son of the late Eugene Dow Ticen and Glen­dola (Cot­tongim) Ticen.

Franklin was a bird farmer his entire life, mostly in Star City, Ind. He moved to Mor­row County in 2005 to be near his fam­ily and enjoyed col­lect­ing trac­tors. He has been a res­i­dent of Galion Pointe Nurs­ing Cen­ter since 2005.

Sur­viv­ing are one sis­ter and brother-in-law, Glenda and Mike Clady of Tenn.; one brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Mary Ticen of Ind.; two nieces, Tina (Rick) Lowe of Mt. Gilead and Sherry (Jim) McIe of Crest­line and two nephews, Richard (Carol) Mar­tin of Indi­anapo­lis and Rusty Mar­tin of Indiana.

He was pre­ceded in death by one niece, Mist­iee Bostic.

No funeral ser­vice or vis­i­ta­tion will be held. Arrange­ments are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
