Dennis M. "Archie" Sutton

Den­nis M. “Archie” Sut­ton, 63, of Nokomis, Fla. died Sun­day, Sept. 9, 2012 at home of nat­ural causes.

Born Feb. 17, 1949 in Day­ton, he was the son of the late George Sut­ton and Lor­raine (Rollins) Sut­ton who sur­vives in Galion.

He was a grad­u­ate of Galion High School in 1967 and served with the United States Marine Corps in Viet­nam where he received the Pur­ple Heart. He was a mem­ber of the Dis­abled Vet­er­ans of Amer­ica and worked in main­te­nance at a resort in Florida.

In addi­tion to his mother he is sur­vived by one son, Matt Sut­ton and one daugh­ter, Stephanie Sut­ton, both of Galion; four grand­chil­dren, Olivia, Trey, Wayla and Madi­son; one sis­ter, Roberta (Doug) Olson of Marysville; three broth­ers, George “Skip” (Karon) Sut­ton, Mark (Peggy) Sut­ton and Jeff (Brid­get) Sut­ton, all of Galion and 10 nieces and nephews.

In addi­tion to his father, he was also pre­ceded in death by one brother, David Sutton.

At his request no vis­i­ta­tion or funeral ser­vices will be held.
