Charlene K. Forman
Charlene K. Forman, 68, of 707 W. Railroad Street, Galion, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at her home after a two and half year courageous fight with ovarian cancer.
Charlene was born in Galion, on July 30, 1944 to the late Willard M. and Martha A. (Robertson) Girton. She married John E. Forman on May 4, 1973 and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2006.
Charlene was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Galion where she was a church elder. She graduated in 1963 from Galion High School. In her career, she worked for the former North Electric, PECO, PPG Industries and ConAgra. She was the owner for Tablings of Galion which sold family woodworking and crafts. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking and gardening.
She is survived by her son and four daughters: William Joseph Forman, Galion; Deborah K. (David A.) Hughes, Johnson City, TN; Donna R. Alberty, Massillon; Jon Wesley Forman, Pahrump, NV, and Jacqueline D. Forman, Galion; seven grandchildren: Captain David R. Hughes, Lewis/McChord, WA; Carling K. (Bryce) Bennett, Jackson, MS; Sydney L. Hughes, Murfreesboro, TN; Mitch L. (Becky) Alberty, Marion; Katlyn N. Alberty, Marion; Martin L. Baxter, Galion; and Bohdan V. Bolotsky, Pahrump, NV; and one great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Freeman and brother, Raymond Girton.
Friends may call Sunday, September 9, 2012 for 1 hour prior to a memorial service at 3:30 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Galion, with Pastor Marcellus De Oliveira officiating. A funeral procession will form at the Seventh Day Adventist Church Monday September 10, 2012 prior to 11 AM to process to Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline for graveside services.
