Charlene K. Forman

Char­lene K. For­man, 68, of 707 W. Rail­road Street, Galion, died Wednes­day, Sep­tem­ber 5, 2012 at her home after a two and half year coura­geous fight with ovar­ian cancer.

Char­lene was born in Galion, on July 30, 1944 to the late Willard M. and Martha A. (Robert­son) Gir­ton. She mar­ried John E. For­man on May 4, 1973 and he pre­ceded her in death on Decem­ber 28, 2006.

Char­lene was a mem­ber of the Sev­enth Day Adven­tist Church, Galion where she was a church elder. She grad­u­ated in 1963 from Galion High School. In her career, she worked for the for­mer North Elec­tric, PECO, PPG Indus­tries and ConA­gra. She was the owner for Tablings of Galion which sold fam­ily wood­work­ing and crafts. She enjoyed knit­ting, cro­chet­ing, cook­ing and gardening.

She is sur­vived by her son and four daugh­ters: William Joseph For­man, Galion; Deb­o­rah K. (David A.) Hughes, John­son City, TN; Donna R. Alberty, Mas­sil­lon; Jon Wes­ley For­man, Pahrump, NV, and Jacque­line D. For­man, Galion; seven grand­chil­dren: Cap­tain David R. Hughes, Lewis/McChord, WA; Car­ling K. (Bryce) Ben­nett, Jack­son, MS; Syd­ney L. Hughes, Murfrees­boro, TN; Mitch L. (Becky) Alberty, Mar­ion; Kat­lyn N. Alberty, Mar­ion; Mar­tin L. Bax­ter, Galion; and Bohdan V. Bolot­sky, Pahrump, NV; and one great granddaughter.

She was pre­ceded in death by her sis­ter, Car­olyn Free­man and brother, Ray­mond Girton.

Friends may call Sun­day, Sep­tem­ber 9, 2012 for 1 hour prior to a memo­r­ial ser­vice at 3:30 PM at the Sev­enth Day Adven­tist Church, Galion, with Pas­tor Mar­cel­lus De Oliveira offi­ci­at­ing. A funeral pro­ces­sion will form at the Sev­enth Day Adven­tist Church Mon­day Sep­tem­ber 10, 2012 prior to 11 AM to process to Craw­ford County Mem­ory Gar­dens, Crest­line for grave­side services.
