Edith Hale Quaintance

Edith Hale Quain­tance, 99, San­dusky, died on Wednes­day, July 18, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on July 28, 1912 in Kentucky.

Edith worked for Cozy Inn Restau­rant in Galion, OH.

She loved gar­den­ing, putting up food, and spend­ing time with all of her family.

She is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Wilma Birmelin, San­dusky, Allen Hale, and James Hale, both of Crest­line, OH, Julia Arnett, and Buck E. Hale, both of Michi­gan; twenty-four grand­chil­dren; sev­eral great– grand­chil­dren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Sage Howard, Ply­mouth, OH, sev­eral nieces, nephews, other rel­a­tives and friends.

She was pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Buck Hale in 1955; par­ents, Rus­sell and Eliz­a­beth (Bradley) Howard; daugh­ter, Pauline Flan­nery; broth­ers, Cur­tis Hale and Elmer Hale; four­teen broth­ers and sisters.

A pri­vate fam­ily vis­i­ta­tion and ser­vice will be held in Toft Funeral Home & Cre­ma­tory, 2001 Colum­bus Ave., San­dusky. Rev. Ken Hiser will offi­ci­ate. Bur­ial will be in New Haven Ceme­tery, New Haven, OH. Memo­r­ial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to Stein Hos­pice Ser­vice, 1200 Sycamore Line, San­dusky, OH 44870.
