And for all the curious, a description of the Galion Wetland from the Crawford Park District: “A former peat bog, the Galion Wetland is 6.7 acres and is located north of Heise Park.” Skunk cabbage, known for producing temperatures warmer than the air around it, grows there. The park district recommends wearing waterproof boots if you visit.
