Holiday Open House at the Galion Public Library
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving has come and gone. The holiday season is upon us and there are so many activites going on in Galion. Join us at the library this Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1–3 p.m. for our Holiday Open House. For the 2nd year in a row, the Galion Public Library’s Holiday Open House will be held in conjunction with Galion’s Come Home to Galion celebration. Come in from the cold! There will be so much to do at the library!
We will have musical entertainment beginning at 1 p.m. with Galion High School’s Show Choir, Show Tunes. Show Tunes will be followed by two solo acts: Jeff Helvie at 1:30 p.m. and Kim Lovely at 2 p.m. In addition to musical entertainment, the entrants of the 2011 Gingerbread House Contest will be on display as well as the artwork from the 2011 Come Home to Galion Calendar.
Free carriage rides will be taking place from 1–3 p.m.; the horse drawn carriages will be leaving from the front of the library. Cookies and punch will be available to all! Are the kids looking for something fun just for them? Join our Children’s staff for special holiday story times at 1:20 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. Holiday crafts will also be available for the kids in the Community Room.
The staff of the Galion Public Library look forward to seeing you this Saturday for our Holiday Open House!
