Holiday Open House at the Galion Public Library

It’s hard to believe that Thanks­giv­ing has come and gone. The hol­i­day sea­son is upon us and there are so many activites going on in Galion. Join us at the library this Sat­ur­day, Dec. 3 from 1–3 p.m. for our Hol­i­day Open House. For the 2nd year in a row, the Galion Pub­lic Library’s Hol­i­day Open House will be held in con­junc­tion with Galion’s Come Home to Galion cel­e­bra­tion. Come in from the cold! There will be so much to do at the library!

We will have musi­cal enter­tain­ment begin­ning at 1 p.m. with Galion High School’s Show Choir, Show Tunes. Show Tunes will be fol­lowed by two solo acts: Jeff Helvie at 1:30 p.m. and Kim Lovely at 2 p.m. In addi­tion to musi­cal enter­tain­ment, the entrants of the 2011 Gin­ger­bread House Con­test will be on dis­play as well as the art­work from the 2011 Come Home to Galion Calendar.

Free car­riage rides will be tak­ing place from 1–3 p.m.; the horse drawn car­riages will be leav­ing from the front of the library. Cook­ies and punch will be avail­able to all! Are the kids look­ing for some­thing fun just for them? Join our Children’s staff for spe­cial hol­i­day story times at 1:20 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. Hol­i­day crafts will also be avail­able for the kids in the Com­mu­nity Room.
